1. About us

This website, ajwallace.uk, is run by Anurag Wallace, trading as AJ Wallace, a fashion brand based in London, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean AJ Wallace, and "you" means anyone using this website or buying from us.

2. These terms

These terms apply to your use of our website and to every order you place with us. Please read them before you order. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under UK consumer law.

3. Our products

  • Many of our pieces are hand-embroidered, hand-dyed or made from handloom fabric, and many are made in small runs or as one-offs. Small variations in colour, weave, stitching and pattern are a natural part of handmade work and are not faults.
  • We try to show colours accurately, but colours on your screen may differ slightly from the real piece.
  • Measurements are given on each product page. If you are unsure about size or fit, please contact us before you order.
  • Care instructions are shown on each product. Please follow them to keep your piece in good condition.

4. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) unless you choose another currency on our website. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout, including delivery charges.
  • Payment is taken when you place your order, through our secure checkout provided by Shopify.
  • If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we will contact you before sending your order. You may then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Your order

  • After you order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order.
  • Because many pieces are one-offs, an item may occasionally sell out before we can confirm your order. If that happens, we will tell you and refund you in full.
  • We may decline an order if we cannot deliver to your address or if we suspect fraud. If so, we will refund any payment in full.

6. Delivery

  • We deliver within the UK and to selected international destinations. Delivery options, costs and estimated times are shown at checkout.
  • The goods are your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us.
  • For orders delivered outside the UK, import duties, taxes or customs fees may be charged by the destination country. Unless we tell you otherwise at checkout, these are payable by you.
  • If your delivery is delayed by events outside our control, we will let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving your goods. Full details, including items that cannot be returned and how refunds work, are in our Returns & Exchanges Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Faulty items

If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us as soon as possible, with photos if you can. Our Returns & Exchanges Policy explains what we will do.

9. Our designs and content

All designs, photographs, text, artwork and other content on this website belong to AJ Wallace or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Sharing our posts or linking to our website is welcome.

10. Using our website

  • Please use our website lawfully. You must not try to interfere with how it works, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to send spam or harmful material.
  • We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be free from interruptions or errors.
  • Our website may link to other websites, such as Instagram. We are not responsible for the content of those websites.

11. Our responsibility to you

  • If we fail to keep to these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure, but not for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
  • We only supply products for personal, domestic use. We are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights as a consumer.

We use your personal information only as set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on our website when you place it.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to put things right. If we cannot resolve it, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
